How to Use StackCP Webmail (Stackmail): Access Your Email from Any Browser

Every mailbox created in StackCP comes with access to Stackmail, the built-in webmail service, letting you check your business email from any browser without installing a separate mail app. This guide covers logging in, navigating the interface, and the settings worth knowing about.

Step 1: Access Webmail

There are two straightforward ways to reach your mailbox's webmail:

1. Directly from StackCP: Go to Manage Hosting > Manage > Email Accounts, find your mailbox, and select Options > Webmail. This logs you straight in without needing to enter your password again.
2. Via the general Webmail page: Under the Email section, there's a Webmail listing showing all mailboxes on your package, each with its own direct login link.

You can also bookmark your specific mailbox's webmail login page for quick daily access going forward.

Step 2: Navigate the Interface

Once logged in, you'll find three main tabs:

• Mail — your inbox, sent items, drafts, and any folders you've created. Standard email actions (reply, forward, delete, move to folder) all work as you'd expect from any modern webmail client.
• Contacts — your address book, which you can also import into via CSV or vCard files, useful when moving from another email provider.
• Settings — where you manage your signature, autoresponder (see our companion guide), and password.

Step 3: Set Up a Signature

In the Settings tab, you can create a signature that's automatically added to new messages — useful for including your name, title, business name, and contact details consistently without retyping them every time.

Step 4: Change Your Password

Also in Settings, you can update your mailbox password at any time. This is worth doing immediately if you ever suspect unauthorized access, and periodically as general good security practice.

Step 5: Import Existing Contacts (If Migrating from Elsewhere)

If you're moving from another email provider, most services let you export your contacts as a CSV or vCard file. In Stackmail:

1. Go to the Contacts tab.
2. Select Import.
3. Choose your exported CSV or vCard file.

This saves you from manually re-entering every contact by hand.

"I can't remember my webmail login URL." Go back to StackCP, navigate to Email Accounts, and use the Options > Webmail link for direct, password-free access, or find the general Webmail page for a login link.

"My contacts didn't import correctly." Confirm your exported file is in a supported CSV or vCard format, and check the specific field mapping if names or details appear misaligned after import.

"I want to check whether I'm actually using up my mailbox storage." Your current storage usage is shown in the bottom left of the webmail interface — this tends to be the most up-to-date figure available, more current than the summary shown in the Email Accounts list.
